Biography
Obaid is an Associate in the Consultation department in Dubai. He has substantial experience in corporate and commercial matters and has worked with various local and international clientele on a wide array of transactions, including shareholder agreements, asset sale and purchase agreements and corporate restructuring.
Obaid also works cross-functionally with the UAE onshore Litigation department in providing legal advisory for an action, including pre-action advisory (when instructed by plaintiffs).
Expertise
- Advised a regional F & B group on the sale, through an asset purchase agreement, of a major part of their restaurant business.
- Drafting and advising on a complex shareholders’ agreement and associated corporate structuring for a major western F&B supplier.
- Currently advising a MENA headquarters group on restructuring of all group entities in the GCC, including for the purposes of prospective investment in the group (post-restructuring) by HNWIs’ and institutional investors.
